3. How We Use Your Data
- To respond to your enquiry and manage your onboarding
- To deliver our advisory services and operational frameworks
- To send service updates, appointment confirmations, and relevant resources
- To improve our website and understand how visitors use it
- To design and send what you asked for on our free designer: your logo files, your website and your social media designs, by email and on your own private link
- To email you about your designs and about starting and running a cleaning business. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link
- To call you at a time you booked, and to text you reminders about that call (reply STOP to stop texts)
- To measure which of our adverts lead to sign-ups and booked calls (see Cookies and advertising below)
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or significant effects on you.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — to deliver the service you've signed up for
- Legitimate interests — to improve our product and communicate with prospects
- Consent — for marketing emails (given when you tick the box on our free designer; you can unsubscribe at any time), for texts about a call you booked, and for advertising cookies where the law requires it
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to retain certain records
5. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers — hosting (Railway), analytics, email delivery, text messages and calls (Twilio), scheduling (Acuity Scheduling) and town search (Google), under strict data processing agreements
- Advertising partners — Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, so we can measure which of our adverts lead to sign-ups, booked calls and sales. Contact details we send to Meta are scrambled (hashed) first, and we never share your design answers with them. See Cookies and advertising below
- Professional advisors — accountants and lawyers, under confidentiality obligations
- Regulatory bodies — where required by law or court order
All third-party processors are required to handle your data in accordance with GDPR and applicable data protection law.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary:
- Enquiry and lead data — up to 2 years from last contact
- Client data — for the duration of the relationship plus 6 years for legal/tax purposes
- Analytics data — aggregated and anonymised after 26 months
You can request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@progressive83.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
8. Cookies and Advertising
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use the following types:
Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the site to function and cannot be disabled. They include session management and security tokens. No consent is required for these.
Analytics cookies
We use anonymised analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, time on site, and referral source. These are only set with your consent.
Preference cookies
We store your cookie consent preference so we don't ask you again on every visit.
Managing cookies
You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or adjusting your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies — see your browser's help documentation for instructions.
Google Ads tag (our website)
Our website uses the Google Ads tag (gtag.js) to measure which of our Google adverts lead to enquiries and booked calls, and to show our adverts to people who have visited us. Google may set cookies for this. You can control Google advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com.
Advertising cookies (our free designer page)
On our free logo, website and social media designer we use the Meta Pixel (cookies named _fbp and _fbc), the Google Ads tag and Google Ads click IDs, so we can see which adverts bring sign-ups and booked calls, and show our adverts to people likely to find them useful. If your device is set to a US time zone, these are on unless you turn them off with "Your privacy choices" at the bottom of the page or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Everyone else is asked first, with a cookie banner, and nothing is set unless you click Accept.
We never sell your data. You can turn advertising cookies off at any time with "Your privacy choices" on that page.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. In the unlikely event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and affected individuals without undue delay.
